Greetings everyone. I wanted to write a brief introduction to explain the five blogs you will find below. Over the course of several years of study, I have looked at numerous differing religious and philosophical perspectives. I have found all of them interesting and have attempted to treat differing viewpoints with respect and dignity. However, it is clear that the world’s major religions and philosophical thinkers make claims of exclusivity. Knowing this, one can logically determine that not all perspectives can be right. I am often reminded of the story of the blind men in the room feeling an elephant. Each person, feeling a different part of the elephant, claims they are certain they are experiencing a different object. I have only one major problem with this whole analogy when it comes to religion or worldview; someone in the room sees clearly that it is an elephant and writes the story. I believe whole-heartedly Christianity is the faith in the room that can see the elephant.
In the following five blogs, I will demonstrate a few of the stubborn facts that the atheistic worldview cannot explain. The first fact will deal with the creation of everything. A committed atheist is bound by two possible options for the beginning of the universe. First, the atheist can claim there was no beginning of the universe, or the atheist can claim the universe was some sort of cosmic accident. Exploring the evidence, I will trace the scientific and philosophical problems of the atheist perspective.
Additionally, I will work through issues like morality and human purpose. My hope is that through this light-hearted and brief series of blogs that your interest will be triggered. Hopefully, they will provide a little insight for those questioning their worldview or cause the apathetic Christian to realize the importance and truth of the Gospel. The final blog is a brief explanation of how Christianity handles the same facts in a cohesive and logical way.
